I have a similar question, if you buy a shelfed Corp. And you have to change ownership names does that effect how long you can say the company has been in buisness? Also if you have 2 or 3 corps do they all need separte tax Id numbers?

iof you have 2 or 3 corps you need separate tax id numbers for all..
on the age of the corp..
you simply state how long the company has been in existence. whether ownership was changed or not

is it harder to get buisness credit cards without pg, for web based buisness?

no
thats not true….
web based and home based businesses are on the rise…
it is the same process for a web based business as it is for a conventional business

For web based biz, which step(s) should come first?
1. Design a logo/brand name.
2. Get it Copyright/Trademark’d (cost like $75 now, and if you send in name w/o a logo, you’ll have to pay the price AGAIN later and resubmit when you DO have your logo)
3. Then build website so nobody steals your name first (as somebody did w/ one of mine 3 days before I bought the domain);
4. THEN, once you have a bona fide website, get your FEI#? and D&B#, etc.?
5. Then get your separate biz bank acct.?
6. Then do all the things Mike has described in his Start-Here sections…??
I ask because it seems many expenses will occur BEFORE you even have biz credit (branding, website expenses, etc), which is too bad those “early expenses” can’t be applied to your struggling biz-credit-history… (which is why I was going to start with a biz credit card in biz name w/PG, and which is how I ended up here, right before I hit “submit” on a Discover Biz Card app! Amazing Timing! So I did not hit “submit” to apply for that card yet).
