you need at least 5 companies to report positively for the 80 paydex score
thats where you want to be

neither office depot nor nordstroms are really ’starter accounts’. nordstroms never was. office depot has tightened up their credit apparently; if you don’t already have several tradelines reporting, they require you to have a personal guarantor before they will offer credit.
other than that, thank you for a great blog

i recently got office depot with no tradelines..
they have tightened a little
u can see that in my blog..

Hi guys. I am on that business credit mission. I need a little boost. I wanted to get a secured business credit card with either bank of america or police and fire federal credit union in order to help establish my business credit. I have had an llc for over two years, and I have no biz credit. I understand the paydex score. I also have had my dnb number for over two years. I set up my own web site. I went to verizon super pages and listed my business numbers. So what should I do next without any lines of credit and personal credit that is in the low 600’s? As sure as I may be on still/pause, I know you guys have the answer.

… oh, and I pulled my experian biz credit report (um, of course, it is blank).

Without sounding critical of anyone, but all these accounts are not current in their info. There are several vendors who have changed their credit criteria and I am not sure if Mike has been made aware?
It would be a help for all of us to verify with these individual vendors as to whether their criteria remains as stated above?
Shalom!!!

I am new to this site and love it already. So much useful info. I have been inc for 2 yrs but have no business credit. I have dun # set up for 2 yrs as well. But was told that it wasnt active until i paid for the starter service, which i did. I have business account for 2 yrs. I recently listed my business number. My business is real estate how do i check to see if i need any state licenses and make sure i have no compliance issues. and once i find some starter accounts that report what is my next step??? Please advise a eager and hungry business owner.

Thanks so much for this information. I am a brand new LLC and I’m trying to obtain net 30 accounts without a PG. I already have my duns number and other pertinent business information. I just applied for the Conoco Commercial credit card and they want a pg or you need to be in business for 3 yrs. I’m trying to be patient but each business I contact wants a pg…help

I love this blog, this website has helped me out so much.I am young and have a really good business on my hands. I am so eager to expand but i felt a little helpless because i have poor credit. But after finding this blog I feel so empowered. I spent the day reading this blog on sunday and today is monday and i already have A D&B number. I have accounts with staples for 1000, exxon for 1500, shell for 2000, quill, uline, nebs home depot 600. I also faxed off applications for target, sears, and macys. All with no pg, so i really hope I get them. I would like to have a paydex score well over 90. i read you need to pay before the invoice arrives. so i wish everyone luck and I thank you so much mike!!
P.s-dell was the only account that denied me.
and office max does not allow you to apply online anymore.

hello all. I have a corp that is 4 yo has an 80 paydex, listed telephone, business bank accounts and I’m having no luck with NO PG LOC, is there anyone out there that can assist? I also have an idea i everyone here has a legal company why cant we be trade references for each others company reporting monthly to DNB there has to be at least 50+ of our business’ instant trade lines is this viable e.g you list me as paying before invoice at net 30 for $1000, I list you for the same another company list me for net 30 $500 etc until we all have at least 10 trade lines each
