It is not secret that many of you guys trying to get business credit is attempting to start businesses and you do not necessarily have revenues coming in from these businesses. When this does not hinder you from building business credit, the least you will want to do is look like a real business. I say this because many people trying to build business credit now take many short cuts with the idea of “saving” money, when the truth is, you may end of losing all the money you put out to build this credit in the first place.

There are a few things that we went through like listing in 411 and not using a UPS box and that is vital but what also helps is knowing what the lenders see when considering awarded lines of business credit. I have recently listing my a website for each business that I build with DnB. You may not think that this is necessary but it helps. When creditors pull your DnB credit file, if you have a website listed they will clearly see it. This helps with the presentation of your company to these underwriters. Business credit is really tight right now but we simply have to do it right.
