I was thinking today that there are a limited number of accounts and I will just like to quickly go through the situation that we are in now. Although money will soon be more available, there will still be these few banks offering business credit with no pg. We know that HSBC has left us so office maxx and best buy are out of the game and CITI is tightening up. We see that with Office depot and staples accounts moving from starter accounts to tier 3 account(as in the business credit bible). The bottom line is this, we are pretty much left with CITI and GE Money accounts as a majority of the business credit accounts that are out there. CITI pulls DNB and Experian but building a strong D&B file will suffice for getting approved from CITI but GE mainly pulls experian so we will now need a strong experian business file.

For those of you who do not know, the some of the GE accounts are things like Amazon, Lowes and Sams and  some of the CITI cards are things likek Office depot, hoem depot, staples, dell and key ban. There are many more under each umbrella but this is just to give you an idea of what we are working with. The next thing is that most of the GE accounts want corporations for than 2 years of age. This is why I suggest that if you are serious about building business credit, you should really consider getting a shelf corp. Even if it doesnt have a paydex established, you have the age. You can pick one up from me for $1000 with no paydex on it. Thats a steal and they are all fl corps.
